Belarusians earn less than Georgians, Uzbeks and Ukrainians (table)

We have gone down to the 7th position in the average wage rating of the CIS and Georgia.


Belarus used to occupy the third position in the CIS rating following Russia and Kazakhstan. According to the official information, the average wage was 530 dollars in December 2010. However, the situation has changed this month. If we recalculate April wages according to the current dollar rate established by the National Bank, our average wage will total 317 dollars. Belarus has gone down to the 7th position in the CIS rating. Inhabitants of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Georgia (former CIS member state) and Ukraine earn more than Belarusians now.

Despite Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s promising sentences about a light sentence in Astana, Minsk Lenin District Court judge Lyudmila Hrachova made a different decision about the Square participants’ fate. "Concert on the Grass" unexpectedly postponed

Sevyarynets - 3 years of restriction of freedom, Halip and Martsaleu - 2 years of imprisonment with arrest of judgement for 2 years.

The hearing of the case of co-chairperson of the steering committee for the creation of “Belarusian Christian Democracy” Pavel Sevyarynets, journalist of “Novaya Gazeta” Iryna Halip and social-democrat Syarhei Martsaleu began in Minsk Zavadski District Court at 10 a.m. They are accused of “organization and preparation for actions rudely violating the order or active participation in them”.

Veterans of Great Patriotic war hold a rally in Minsk

A firework is to become the finishing touch of the holiday, it will start at 22.00 simultaneously in six spots, like in previous years. The firework will be composed of 30 shots, the most picturesque one will take place near the stella "Minsk-Hero City".

Musicians collected 15 million for one night and gave money to children

A 10-hours charity concert took place in “Reactor”. The children from Navinki will now have an opportunity to rest in Summer camps due to this.

Liosha Tarasevich - a musician and a tutor in Navinki center - organized the charity concert "Help children together with us". The concert took place in the "Reactor" night club before the May holidays.
