How creative will be presidential candidates in Belarus?



Vital Rymasheuski is set to surprise voters with this biography. Alexander Milinkevich will ask people to write his campiagn program, while Ales Mikhalevich will make a separate leaflet for every profession.

The presidential elections in Belarus might take place already this coming fall, but no campaign posters can be seen on the streets. Euroradio asked potential candidates how they were going to suprise voters.

USSR citizens still live in Poland illegally



There may be Belarusian citizens among them but former Soviet states take their time accepting “Soviet” people as their citizens.

People who arrived in Poland with Soviet passports have started trying to legalize themselves recently. Actually, they are citizens of a country that does not exist. None of the former Soviet republics expresses a desire to make them its citizens.

Belarus men dash to pharmacies for viagra after Easter



Sexual energy wakes up in Belarusians only in April, maintain local manufacturer of potent pills. In April, Belarus men have bought 30 percent 'man's pills' more than before!

Vox Populi: Should Bakiyev stay in Belarus?



Lukashenka calls former Kyrgyz president Bakiyev his friend and says Belarus will not extradite him to Bishkek. The European Radio for Belarus has asked Minskers if Bakiyev should be extradited.

"Belarus will reject an extradition request. Bakiyev is under protection of the Belarusian state and the president", Lukashenka was quoted as saying by the Russian news agency Ria-Novosti.

Milinkevich vows fair vote count on streets



In case of victory, Milinkevich promises $10 billion in investments for the Belarusian economy, reforms for courts, healthcare and utilities, European education for the youth and no nuclear power plant for environmentalists. The launch of his presidentil bid in our photo and video report.

On Monday, May 3, Movement for Freedom leader Alexander Milinkevich officially announced his presidential bid during the 2011 elections. "I want to tell you frankly that I feel strong, I know a lot and I have a will. What the most important is that there are many people who support me and on whom I count", he said in his speech. Before the official launch, Milinkevich and his wife prayed in a church.

Dentists get license for alcohol, tobacco sales in Brest

A dental clinic in Brest is licensed to sell alcohol and tobacco.



The framed license is hanging on the wall of the dental clinic. Its says that "dental clinic Westmedservice is permitted to sell alcohol and tobacco products". Firm director Larysa Melnichuk felt confused saying she did not how to explain and asked her chief accountant Sviatlana Ivanauna who had been in charge of applying for the license.
