Will Belarusians be restricted when brining goods to Russia since July 1?



Under the Customs Code, it is allowed to bring not more than 3 liters of alcohol, 2 blocks of cigarettes, and your vehicle's tank should not have more than 10 liters of petrol.

If Belarus refuses to take part in the Customs Union with Russia and Kazakhstan, new customs regulationas theoertically are to cover Belarusian citizens as well since July 1, 2010.

In this case, when the bagage limitations are exceeded, Belarusians will have to pay 30 percent of goods' customs cost. They will also have to pay 10 euros for every extra liter of alcohol.

Is Br600 thousand the real Belarusian average wage?



Only 30% of the population are getting the average wage or more, claim experts. ERB has tried to find out how the average wage is calculated in Belarus, where the people who get it are and how much Belarusians will feel that the wage has increased to $500.

The authorities have promised that Belarusians’ average wage will reach 500 dollars by the end of the year. Let us remind you that it totals 370 dollars now.

Teleport to Czech Republic launched: Party at embassy

Say the Truth campaign fails to make friends with official youth union



Police commandos prevent Say the Truth activists from discussing elections in Belarus with the youth from the official youth union (BRSM).

Traffic police inspectors have treated them as suspects of theft.

The youth from BRSM camped in tents from June 21 through June 25 at the Galaxy tourist camping site near the town of Rakau.

Economy ministry: Sausages and milk grow expensive due to public bus fares



Officials from the Ministry of Economy explain why Belarusian vegetables are more expensive than in Europe and promise to deal with the

monopoly of Beltelecom.

Inflation in Belarus has grown by 4 percent over the past five months, Ihar Famin, director of the pricing policy department at the Ministry

of Economy, told reporters. The prices of vegetables and fruits have hiked the most, he said. "We are observing a stable slight price growth

of vegetables and fruits. There has been a slight increase in the costs of dairy products, beef, pork, sausages".

Student allowances are 15 times less in Belarus than in Czech Republic



But Belarusians do not rush to the Czech Republic, despite 700 euros of stipend per month, a free room in a dormitory and a European diploma.

There are 26 stated-owned and 46 private universities that offer educational opportunities for over 1000 professions. In 1999, the Czech

authorities passed a law on a free education for foreign students who enrolled with the state-owned universities and study in the Czech

language. As a result, out of a total of 210,000 students, there are over 7500 foreigners.

Will ISPs have 2 million e-mails and 50,000 sites registered on time?



Effective from July 1, Belarusian companies will be banned from having their web site on foreign servers, while internet service providers

(ISP) will not be able to sell hosting abroad, under the president's decree No 60 and several resolutions of the Council of Ministers.

Now all ISPs must transfer their users to Belarus-based data centers and have them registered at the State Inspection of Electric

Communications and to have all e-mail accounts located on the Belarusian servers registered as well. It is impossible to get it done by the

end of June, reckons Syarhei Pavalishau who runs hoster.by

NATO: Presidential elections in Belarus will become a test for further relations



The NATO notes that relations with our country have improved a bit, but there are no political preconditions for closer ties.

Appathurai said in a statement. "It is obvious that free and fair presidential elections will be an important litmus paper test for further
